Instead of waiting for the requests and demands of the day (and others) to define how you live today, shape your own identity. Morning questions is a potent practice that might only take you a few minutes, but practicing deliberately and consistently, with a passion greater than persuasion, will breed clarity, guide you to live more authentically, and allow self-trust to take root.
Love seems to be confused with our perceived connection to it. Love is not painful, but when we feel that we have lost our connection to it, the pain stemming from the loss can run deep. I want to share a handful of brief, but powerful, notes about what love really means. May they serve your connections.
Jealousy is its own brand of poison. It can stunt real growth, hinder creativity, dull our shine, impede self-compassion, and generally just take the wind out of our sails. Whichever side of the jealousy equation you find yourself on, may these poems about jealousy remind you of your own light, what can’t be taken away.
In the middle of knowing that something new wants to come through, I must remind myself that I am allowed to change. I am even allowed not to know what this change is yet; first: to allow it. If you’d like to try enjoying the unfolding new beginnings in your season, too, I penned this affirmation for you.
Balance isn’t about perfect harmony all of the time but learning to identify patterns that bring about unbalances and to continuously be aligning your head and heart. To encourage your patient evolution and explorations: these quotes about balance.
These affirmative thoughts are in honor of the kinds of changes that we absolutely must initiate and follow because they are what’s best for us. When change is in the air, especially when it comes to changing priorities for the sake of peace, let yourself flow into a new season of life with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Before (or after) you find yourself answering the requests of the world, ask your own self what it is you could do today to be at home within yourself. A center of inner peace is strengthened through mindful attention—leave it up to everyone else, and that peace seems little far-fetched. That’s what coming home to yourself feels like: a peaceful strength, a sanctuary.
Since turning 30 this month, I have decided a few things, one of which is that this next chapter of life is for me and my growth, my joy, my love of being alive. If you’re ready to wade a little deeper into the life that you’re craving, this affirmation might meet you perfectly: where you are.
In the most loving way, there are things I am not sorry for and conscious self-loving decisions I feel compelled to share with you today. Maybe you will find a few things you don’t have to be sorry for too.
Note to self: you are already everything you think you need. These ten notes are brief yet powerful reminders that you’ve just forgotten how incredibly rich and capable you already are. This might be exactly what you need to hear (from yourself) today.
Instead of resorting to the same old “How was your day?” let’s ask questions that inspire more meaningful and enjoyable…
