My first book, Sleep Affirmations, is now out and available anywhere books are sold! To keep the celebration going, I’m sharing 5 affirmations from this new bedtime book for adults (with pictures).
When you sleep better tonight, you live better tomorrow.
It may or may not surprise you that I read my own book every night. They (whoever “they” are) say that you should write the book you want to read, so I guess that’s just what happened.
Did you buy the book? Please review it on Amazon! Thank you for your support and for helping to spread the word to more and more people.
If you haven’t heard, this bedtime book is a nightly reminder of your own worth, potential, and light. It’s meant to be kept on your nightstand or in a space where you can easily refer to it before bedtime. The intention is to interrupt stressful thoughts with positive, healing contemplations.
Here are a few tips on using this bedtime book:
- Flip through it in sequence (it’s set up to be a fluid experience) or open to a random page, trusting that the affirmation you land on is meant for you.
- Read out loud, in a whisper, or silently for at least a few minutes.
- Soak up the meaning and then just let the feeling of the message wash over you.
- Everything reads like poetry and the artwork is a soothing complement to the imagery that arises. Let that imagery stay with you as you prepare for bed, or lie down immediately after reading and allow your favorite words, phrases, or sentiments from the affirmation to stay with you.
There really is no wrong way to use this book—just be kind to yourself and give yourself some space to enjoy it, accept its guidance, and trust your inner wisdom.
As you read each passage, you will have a sense that you are being supported, right then, in knowing your own deepest truth: you are enough. Themes of forgiveness, courage, recovery, trust, and surrender are mixed throughout for a totally transformative experience.
It might be just what you need to end your day with. I’ve even had a few people tell me that they read this with their children and it puts everyone right to sleep!
With this beautiful evening ritual that you’re creating, you gain a sense of control over your life. You cultivate a quiet mind, a grateful heart, and a peaceful presence.
Here’s just a tiny gathering of gems from the book (buy the book for 195 more).
