Healing is a moment-to-moment experience. It is one reason we need time and space—to digest all that happens. Here are some poems about healing to give your times and spaces a serving of grace.
Writing—specifically by hand, on paper—is my healing. It is a way to heal more sincerely for many—here, I know I am not alone. For a cathartic experience, I suggest it be expressive (whether you’re writing or reading to heal).
If you are reading as a healing, know that you, too, are not alone. I write for us both. This, for me, then, absolutely must be healing. It must speak of and from the wound—but not because it is caged by the wound: because it is wanting to better understand the wound, to shed some light on it.
These poems about healing are necessary for my soul. I only hope, as always, that they are of service to yours.
4 Poems about Healing
1. Life is always: and, both.
I’ve learned a whole lot more about the light
By being open to the darkness
Than by enclosing myself in light.
2. Be a giver of what you need.
There is no sweeter way to heal than
With compassion.Have mercy on your own soul. #healing tell a friend
3. Gifts of healing are packaged differently.
Healing is an honor,
Though perhaps one wrapped in darkness,
Like a star is.“Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.” — Mary Oliver #poetry tell a friend
4. Separateness is a lie.
I walk the path,
Healing as I go,
Knowing I do not walk alone.
