It’s true: the more I learn, the less I know. Also true: it’s okay not to have all the answers. It’s actually quite liberating, maybe even a tad magical. Embracing the unknown might be one of the most freeing practices you could ever journey through. This poem is a gift of space, if nothing else — always leave room for wonder.
This is a poetic ode to all the things I wonder about — at least, some of those things.
Do you ever let the mysteries of life – where we come from, where we go, most of what happens in between – inspire you, rather than frighten you? It’s such a delicious experience when you can do that. When you allow your soul a little breathing space. When you realize, deeply, that the universe isn’t obligated to reveal its secrets to you.
Truly, this poem is a reminder to…Keep a secret love for the unknown. #embracelife remind a friend
Sometimes, I think it’s good to need a little “nothing” in one’s life. It’s a kind of declaration built on awe. Almost like making a peace treaty with life itself.
Embracing the unknown is one powerful way to build resilience in a chaotic world without closing your heart to life.
I hope this poem coaxes your heart to open up to all that you don’t know, without needing it to be something else.
Needing Nothing: On Embracing the Unknown
How I can stare up at the sky
and be both
blanketed with a feeling of home and
lifted out of myself.
How my taste buds
decided to change.
How inspiration can be
pouring like sweet wine —
then not a drop,
no current in which to flow.
How the scent of nostalgia
can fill a home, or even
why dreams feel truer to me.
I wonder about these things
and much more.
It’s quite an odd thing,
when it takes pleasure
in the wonder
I hear the other side
begging me to
keep a secret
for the unknown.Let the unknown inspire you rather than frighten you. #embracetheunknown inspire a friend

What’s something you’ve been forcing (inspiration or clarity, maybe) that you could try to relax a bit, for the sake of peace and wonder?
Share this poem with a curious soul. Coax their heart open.
Some mysteries are marvelous, and we don’t know why… I think those are the best kind.
