Love Never Dies: 15 Spiritual Quotes to Heighten Your Connections

Love Never Dies: 15 Spiritual Quotes to Heighten Your Connections

In honor of my dad, who passed away two years ago, here are some quotes to remind you that love never dies. Whether or not you've loved and “lost,” these quotes will make you feel... better.

I believe grief is a telltale sign that love still breathes.

I believe that with real love, every relationship becomes an intimate relationship. Every connection becomes a deepening. In every challenge there's hope. Even death ceases to be an ending.

Even the mundane turns sacred when love is there.

Even my father’s death has become an opportunity to know him better.

I hope these quotes remind you, too, that love never dies. That it might be closer than you think, and it reaches further than you could ever imagine.

Whether or not you've loved and “lost,” here are some quotes to remind you that love never dies. That it might be closer than you think, and it reaches further than you could ever imagine. With love, every connection becomes a deepening, in every challenge there's hope, and even death ceases to be an ending.

15 Quotes to Remind You That Love Never Dies

1. “Time is Too slow for those who Wait, / Too swift for those who Fear, / Too long for those who Grieve, / Too short for those who Rejoice, / But for those who Love, / Time is not.” — Henry Van Dyke

2. “Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end.” — Madame de Staël

3. “True love does not just choose one person. When true love is there, you shine like a lamp. You don’t just shine on one person in the room. That light you emit is for everyone in the room. If you really have love in you, everyone around you will profit—not only humans, but animals, plants, and minerals. Love, true love, is that. True love is equanimity.” — Thich Nhat Hanh

4. “Love is the vital core of the soul. And of all you see, only love is infinite.” — Rumi

5. “When we lose someone we love we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.” – Unknown

6. “But in all of the sadness, when you’re feeling that your heart is empty, and lacking, you’ve got to remember that grief isn’t the absence of love. Grief is the proof that love is still there.” – Tessa Shaffter, Heaven Has No Regrets

7. “Love never dies, and spirit knows no loss. Keep in mind that a broken heart is an open heart.” – Louise Hay & David Kessler, You Can Heal Your Heart

8. “To honor your grief is not self-destructive or harmful, it is life-sustaining and life-giving, and it ultimately leads you back to love again. In this way, love is both the cause and the antidote.” – Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph. D.

7. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” – Thomas Campbell

10. “Love is our origin and our final destination. Our spirit was animated by the loving energy of a higher power, and as we release our last breath our spirits will dissipate back into that love.” — Brendon Burchard, The Motivation Manifesto

11. “Real love takes you from limits of personal love into the immeasurable domain of universal love. Human life is an inner journey from the head to the heart — from separateness to Oneness.” — Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)

12. “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.” — Unknown

13. “Love is the bridge between you and everything.” — Rumi

14. “Love is something eternal—the aspects may change, but not the essence. There is the same difference in a person before and after he is in love as there is in an unlighted lamp and one that is burning. The lamp was there and is a good one, but now it is shedding light, too, and that is its real function.” — Vincent Van Gogh

15. “It isn’t possible to love and part. You will wish that it was. You can transmute love, ignore it, muddle it, but you can never pull it out of you. I know by experience that the poets are right: love is eternal.” — E.M. Forster

    12. “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.” — Unknown
I learned today for the first time that my mother’s dearest cousin was once married to a wonderful man that after only 6 years of bliss passed away. She shared a photo with me of the two of them, and I could just see that every second she had with him was very precious. She was married to him a long time ago, even before I was born, and I am 45 years old. She has been single since his death, never being in a serious relationship since. My heart truly aches for her- knowing that I am currently over the moon in-love with my husband of the last 5 years. I hope that the quote I shared from you to her will for a moment bring her a smile. Thank you for sharing, I truly appreciate you! Peace be with you. :)

True love is infinite, it never dies and embedded into your heart through eternity! 3 years ago I found out that the love of my life passed and I know deep in my heart that he loved and still loves me so much. I became close to his family most specially with his mother. People around me keep telling me to move on, that I’m still young and will find someone new. You can’t move on from an infinite love. I find comfort reminiscing those happy days that I had with him and cherishing all those great memories when we were together. I had also 7 vivid dreams about the two of us which they called visitation dreams. Those dreams kinda reminded me that he still loves me and watching over me from above.
The cause of his passing made me founded a company that will help others to deal with issues that are related to that cause. GOD be with us all!

John, I am deeply sorry for such a tremendous loss. For your son, and for his mother. I can only imagine what you’ve had to go through. I wish you all the warmth of my heart, their love surrounding you always, and peace in the small moments. One day at a time… <3

    Taking a deep breath…
Looked up some encouragement from the nice quotes above…
A bit more than a year ago, I lost my only son…22 years old…of leukemia. Valedictorian at 17…BA in psychology at 20 with 4.0 GPA…more important, the sweetest ever, loving, caring and helped anyone in need.
Lost his mom a few years earlier :-(
Now alone…stopped working…enjoying the grieving as I spend my days remembering and recalling heavenly days…
Every day days that passes gets me closer to them..
Yet, and I insist…I’m enjoying the grieving as I thank God that we were in extreme love …many didn’t get that chance…yes love never dies…a true love is endless

Your completely right a broken heart can heal and it will leave a scar same with a wounded heart it would take time to heal But not a DESTROY HEART BLOWN TO PIECES that impossible to heal even by finding that pieces is almost an impossible to restore it.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful poems with us. My heart is broken beyond repair. I lost my husband who was amazing. We were together for 55yr when he passed having been diagnosed 57days earlier, with pancreatic cancer He was my first man in my life my best friend the love of my life my sole mate. I was devastated he was all l new for the past 55rys. We have 3 chilren. 2 sons 1 daughter. Love them more than my own life. But sadly something happened that should never happen to any parent and l was alone . My beautiful daughter was killed in a car accident just 2 yerar after my husband her father ,she was a daddy girl and my pride and joy my best friend. How does one ever cope with such a loss and in between her father death and her death l was diagnosed with Colon cancer and had to fight for my life. God is a good God and after removing the cancer spend 48 days in hospital having septicemia set ìn and was in a coma for 15 days. Just less than months after my chemo that was 11month chemo. I lose my beloved daughter. Its is something know one can ever image or think they know how you feel unless you have walked in my shoes. I’m so thankful that l am a child of God because without Him l would no longer exist. God is a good God, and God does not make mistakes. Nothing will change my mind even after losing two people that l loved more than life it self. So thank you. I wish there were poems about losing too love ones than husband separate loss of a daughtr. God bless.

Thank you Jennifer, for these quotes. I was looking for one that spoke of love being eternal to leave with my will for my children. I’ve chosen these two which I hope they will find consoling when the time comes.
