I have read through the quotes and will do so again, not sure if I can hope again being in my 70’s now and feeling it is all behind me with so many departed friends and family. Life feels so sad now and my heart aches from missing everyone. I think of the line of poetry "the pain of all the partings gone and partings yet to be. But thank you Jennifer for your lovely kindness, I will check in again.

Writing this at 4:00 am on the 7th October 2022. No 16 for me. I have been going through hell for 18 months. I felt so alone until I read some of these messages- you have all given me hope that all is not lost, even if I am fighting my battle with my dying breath.

I hope when the next person passing here reads this they will know our roads may differ, but our aim is the same.
Hope is just knowing morning will be here soon.

They all affected me, #1 especially. For better or worse, things changed today in my life to where I am a party of one! :) So, here we go… hello ruin! Transformation should be fun, never imagined going through this again at this age, yet have to say – all has been stripped away! No more excuses, stories, narratives blaming whatever – it’s now all up to me. Scary! Bittersweet. Sad. Overwhelmed by all the options – what does life look like now??? I’ve been so lost in whatever that was for last 10 years, I don’t even know for sure what I want anymore. Please pray for me, if you would. I read all your comments and send you prayers of comfort, light and love.

Jane, my heart goes out to you and I am deeply sorry for the loss of your uncle, your brother, and your dear husband. Sometimes there are no words. I pray you find comfort in small moments. And I do think that mercy is not something we deserve or don’t deserve – but need, and it is given to those in need, whether or not they think they deserve that grace. I hope you feel that and offer yourself a little mercy too. You belong in the light, too. Sending my love and warm thoughts to you in this very difficult time. x

    #’s 16 & 29

In one week in March 2021, in 3 different states, I lost my Uncle Mel, my Husband David and my Brother Kenny. My husband died from Covid that I transmitted to him because of my job at the hospital – even though I was doubly vaccinated. I lived, he died alone. I couldn’t hold his hand or make him understand how much I loved him and will love him forever. Now there are roadblocks with probate, and all I want to do, all I ever wanted to do when he died, is to get away from here. Don’t care about the house, can’t face battles with relatives, who want to feast on what little is left, am alone with this grief. But those quotes speak to my heart. This is hell. I pray I have the courage to keep walking through it and trust God, though I don’t deserve His mercy.

Gloria, my heart is with you, too, during such a difficult and emotionally exhausting time. You have more strength within than you might think you do… You need to listen to your heart and do what is right by it, what is right by your present and your future. You are strong enough to say what you need and set those boundaries and move towards a healthier environment for yourself. You deserve that much. x

Hi Scot, thank you for sharing this! I’m wishing you well in your search for a new beginning… I myself just did the same, and it took some months for me to find the right fit, but keep your head up and hope alive and you’ll find your fit. Writing poetry and drawing is itself a kind of meditation, I think :)

Good morning or afternoon Let me begin by sayin I’m a Born-Again Christian(A Protestant🙏) This was a good Restore your Hope list. The best two quotes to me were by C.S. Lewis & Robert Schuller. I’ve been unhappy with my workplace conditions and stress at my workplace in Central Ohio. I have used Indeed dot com in the past 2 weeks & I’m hopeful for a couple interviews soon. I hope to Interview with a few Employers and get involved in Selling or become a Cable/Internet Installer. I write a little Poetry & draw with Charcoal & Lead Pencils from time to time. This is therapeutic for me & Drawing & meditarion has been shown to be beneficial 4 anyone that experiences Anxiety. I don’t meditate because my mind is too active & I prefer gaming on my cell to attempting to focus on my breathing. How was that for a message? Have a great week. Roman’s 8:28-31
