I love meditation for a handful of reasons, but mostly because it helps me break down the walls I’ve built that keep me from enjoying my life. My practice opens new doors, teaching me how to relax and live in this sometimes crazy world at the same time.
Love is the way I let go of who I thought I was this whole time, and accept that I’m more than the small thoughts that race through my mind and the chaotic patterns that bring me down. Love is more than a feeling–it’s the way to peace inside and outside.
I surrender, not to the circumstances or the opposition, but to my own resistance to peace and happiness. I surrender, not in order to give up on what I love, but in order to receive love in a greater way than I myself could have planned for.
