None of us are immune to negative thoughts, and, fortunately, each of us is gifted with the ability to choose a different thought. If you feel like you’re buried in dirt, you’re in a good position to plant positive thoughts and become the gardener of your own soul.

When we struggle to find happiness in our lives, chances are it has less to do with what we have, where we are, or where we’ve been, and more to do with how we think about it all and what we choose to do with it. Happiness is a way of living within yourself.
Happiness is an internal dialog: “This is what I have, this is where I am, and this is who I am. How can I learn? How can I live deeply? Who can I help?”
When you’ve found yourself in the middle of hard times, experiment with one of these positive thoughts. I hope they serve you.

1. Remember that happiness is not a possession to be prized nor is it a destination to arrive it. It’s a quality of thought that you prioritize and a state of mind that you embrace.
2. “Everything changes when you start to emit your own frequency rather than absorbing the frequencies around you, when you start imprinting your intent on the universe rather than receiving an imprint from existence.” Barbara Marciniak’s words speak of the Law of Attraction–of becoming what you want to see, and of bringing to the table what you wish was already there. Be on purpose.
3. What we see depends not only on what we’re looking at, but also on what we’re looking for and where we’re looking from. Or, as Swami Muktananda said, “If you do not like the world you see try changing the prescription of your glasses.”
4. Not knowing where you’re going doesn’t need to be fearsome. A dead-end street doesn’t necessarily equate to a meaningful journey. Let the mystery inspire you to travel your path when you don’t yet know where it leads. And remember that bumpy roads in life tend to lead to the best places.
5. Uncertainty is not meant to keep you from beginning, but to ensure you that unknown and untapped possibilities await.
