Though these aren’t the most chocolatey chocolate protein bars I’ve tried (maybe a good thing?) they’re definitely filling; the chewiness of them makes me feel like I’m eating something substantial (and the ingredient list reminds me that I actually am), plus it prevents me from snacking too much.

These Paleo-friendly bars are healthy, portable snacks that provide ample nutrition, unlike many of the sugary protein bars you’ll find on the shelves in the grocery store. It’s like eating real food in bar-form without worrying about what’s really in the bar you’re eating.

Why I’m Eating These Paleo Protein Bars
Based on the success of his blog, Mark Sisson wrote the bestselling book, The Primal Blueprint, which was published in 2009, followed by another book, The Primal Blueprint Cookbook in 2010.

I really wanted to try these Paleo protein bars because they contain:
- Turkish almonds and roasted pumpkin seeds enrobed in a chewy, dark chocolate, caramel coating
- Only 3 grams of sugar (from honey) and 8 grams of net carbs
- 15 grams of protein
- 170 milligrams of potassium
- 6 grams of fiber
- No gluten, grain, dairy and soy
- More (grass-fed) collagen than a cup of bone broth (so amazing for your bones, tendons, ligaments, connective tissues, skin, and overall health)
