If you feel indecisive, confused, or lost, and don’t know where to begin, let this poem about trusting yourself serve as a reminder that you have what you need inside of you, truly. Calm the inside, and the outside will respond. Seek to allow whatever is happening internally, and things change as they are seen (and dealt with) differently.
“Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World, and it will one day return there.” – The Alchemist
Before pen met paper to create this poem, I struggled for a moment with what to write. How can you begin a story when you don’t know where to start? Which path do you take when you feel unsure of where you stand right now?
The answer is to trust the internal intelligence of your soul. The deviance from our own internal guidance system is the same issue that causes writer’s block—to move beyond the block, we must learn to believe in ourselves.
The secret of life is revealed when you begin to believe in yourself.“Just trust yourself, then you will know how to live.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Click To Tweet
The moment you begin to make the shift (from fear to love) you experience a miracle. The miracle is your shift. It signifies that you remember your own power and potential to create with ease. Through strengthening your trust (a form of love), you can begin to compose the poetry of your soul with confidence and joy.
We must break down the walls that we’ve built in order to see that we already have everything we need to be who we’re meant to be. We can create something beautiful, be true to ourselves, and more fully love ourselves and each other when we realize that our potential to live the life we love has been resting inside of us all along.
We must open our own doors to the limitless inspiration that dwells within, and is just waiting for us to remember it.
Trust that you can move beyond your blocks, and recognize that they are nothing compared to what’s inside.
A Poem about Trusting Yourself, and the Answers You Hear in the Stillness of Your Own Being
Where to begin?
What I seek,
I find within.
This new day,
This new dawn,
Is my chance to turn the page.
Shall I run,
Or shall I dance?
What says the wise sage?
Stop running away.
Start seeking within.
Only I can choose to begin again.
Only I can.
So I’ll write my own story
On the pages of my soul.
I’ll fill them with the glory
Of a time long ago—
When the sages danced
Among the music of their own souls.
My sage is my soul,
And it knows the way home.
The story I have forgotten,
But I can remember it again:
What you seek,
You shall find within.
Do not seek without
For the story to be told;
Is already written in your soul.
The wise sage whispers from within.
To hear its whispers,
You must stop,
- Are you willing to break down the walls you’ve built in order to see that you’re already everything you need to be?
- Can you believe that all possibility for living your best life will spring from within?
- Can you begin the life-changing process of trusting your internal guidance system?
