This affirmation for healing is a reminder that we are enough as we are; we are whole as individuals and, in believing this truth, we’re able to share our love and light unconditionally, wholeheartedly with others.
“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe.’ He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” – Albert Einstein
Repeat this affirmation for healing often, because it is so essential to your positive expansion (from an already-whole and loving place) as a human being.
Your Negative Thoughts are Not True, and Not You
My negative thoughts and feelings of unworthiness do not represent who I really am.
Your negative thoughts and feelings of unworthiness do not point to your true identity. They are merely a fragmented perception of who you seem to be, but they don’t speak to the resounding wholeness of your being.
Whenever you experience the pull of a negative thought, and before giving in to its incessant demands, pause and ask yourself:
- Is this negative belief true?
- Does this unpleasant situation equal myself? Is this all that I am?
- Will this situation or state of being last forever? Does it need to last forever?
- Does my eternal, internal identity rest with this temporary, external circumstance?
If you’re willing to ask yourself these questions and provide some answers from an objective stance, you can interrupt those negative thoughts before they have a chance to disturb your peace. Try playing detective and dig up some evidence to counter those limiting beliefs. Collect reasons why those small thoughts aren’t true, or no longer need to be true for you.
Fear is a fragmenting emotion that breeds a fragmented perception. Unworthiness is a self-limiting, fear-based belief that has many heads. It can portray itself as self-doubt, isolation, and the false notion that we’re something less than who we really are.
When we attach our identity to any fear-driven beliefs, we place a veil over happiness and condemn ourselves to an unhappy view of not only ourselves, but the world we live in.
You’re so much more than any small thoughts. Every moment offers an opportunity to choose again, to think differently, and to challenge limiting beliefs that no longer serve you. Your worth is beyond measure, and certainly beyond the scope of the negative things you think about yourself.
Happiness is still here, waiting for you to place your fearful convictions aside so that you can see the truth again–that your soul is already whole.
Your Soul Is Whole
I am willing to release my perception of separation.
When the body is emphasized, with special emphasis on certain parts, no one is seen as complete. Perceiving ourselves and each other this way, through the purely physical lens, supports the illusion of separation and the suffering that it entails. This perception alienates us, isolates everything, and distracts us from the truth that we are more than what the physical eye can see.
The truth is this: you are a whole that is greater than the sum of your parts.
As human beings, we are ever on the path of self-discovery and self-improvement, which is a wonderful path to be on. As spiritual beings, we are changeless. If we were to truly realize this, we could not justify any feelings of unworthiness, because we would know that we are whole within ourselves and at one with something greater than ourselves. We can then expand from a place of wholeness rather than a place of desperation.
You were not made to be a body, but to experience life for a short while through a body. And if you want to be a better human being, you can only love yourself into that happier place.
Putting this Affirmation for Healing into Practice
I embrace an awareness of perfect Oneness, nothing more and nothing less.
When I first read this passage from A Course in Miracles, it really tested my perspective:
Heaven is not a place nor a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect Oneness, and the knowledge that there is nothing else; nothing outside this Oneness, and nothing else within.
Have you experienced any moment of pure unexplained peace, where the limits of time and space were lifted, when you felt as though you were one with something beyond your body? This feeling of complete wholeness–of Oneness–can be felt when we are in love, holding another hand, meditating, looking into the eyes of a newborn child, pondering the starry skies, feeling deep gratitude for the moment we’re standing in, or being lifted beyond the physical aspect of human life.
The idea that Heaven is attainable right now, right here on Earth, as it is within you, is a perspective which suggests a trust in life that might be wonderful for us to consider.
Trusting that you are already whole on the inside allows you to show up with full presence and less restriction in your physical life, and to regard what’s physical as one part of a whole.
Show up with full presence today. Let your awareness embrace more than what’s physically evident. Allow yourself moments of peace and contemplation. Try to open up more to what’s possible for you, because perhaps everything that you truly want–happiness, love, security, peace, connection, purpose–rests within yourself.
