If you’re into inspirational content (videos, audios, lectures, books, blogs) at all, you might find these inspirational podcasts worth listening to. I certainly do.
“There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.” – Ziad K. Abdelnour
An inspiring quote that I cite often and try to apply to my life is from Annie Dillard: “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” Though podcasts are not a new thing in the world, they’ve become new in my world as I’ve been journeying deeper into my practice of living a happy life.
Through podcasts, I’ve found another way to bring more meaning to my car rides, and it makes doing the dishes a little more enjoyable and fruitful.
These inspirational podcasts keep me motivated to spend my days how I want to spend my life.
5 Inspirational Podcasts I Look Forward to
The School of Greatness, with Lewis Howes
Lewis Howes is a former professional athlete turned lifestyle entrepreneur–he’s a sought-out motivational speaker and business adviser, runs a successful online media company, and is a bestselling author. He’s constantly trying to add value to the lives of others, and The School of Greatness Podcast does a fine job with that.
Each week Lewis brings listeners an inspiring person or message to help them discover how to unlock inner greatness. I especially love his “Five Minute Fridays” where he shares short inspiring messages to get you thinking and moving towards a life you consider great.
Here are a couple great episodes to start with:
The Charged Life, with Brendon Burchard
Brendon is a highly successful motivational, influential, and admirable leader in the fields of personal growth and achievement. Every single video I watch, every audio I listen to, and every word I read of his is powerful and genuine, and I think he has some amazing things to say.“No matter how small you start, start something that matters.” – Brendon Burchard Click To Tweet
Watch one of his videos, along with a written summary, and listen to the associated podcast episode at the bottom of the post. I would recommend starting with any of his lessons, because they’re all fantastic in my opinion.
Gabrielle Bernstein’s Miracle Membership Audios
Technically, this isn’t a podcast you can sign up for with your smartphone app, but Gabby is one of my favorite spiritual teachers and I highly recommend listening to her if you’re at all on your own spiritual path (or just want to be happier).
As part of Gabby Bernstein’s monthly Miracle Membership (which I just signed up for and am already loving, without surprise), she offers a never-before-heard audio that shares her powerful message for that month. Her guidance, support, and spiritual lessons are all practical and down to earth.
Though enrollment has closed for the Miracle Membership (for the time being), you can get on the wait-list and receive registration updates.
You can also sign up for inspirational emails, or watch any of her videos on her blog.
Hay House Podcasts
Hay House is a publishing company that offers a selection of free audio content via their most popular podcasts. Their channels feature expert authors who share their wisdom on topics such as alternative health, nutrition, motivation, success, spirituality, positive psychology, and personal development.“There is nothing as easy as being inspired.” – Danielle LaPorte Click To Tweet
I listen to these channels:
- Hay House Live Podcast, featuring insightful and inspiring lectures from Hay House Live events.
- Hay House Meditations Podcast, where various authors guide listeners through relaxing meditations.
- Hay House World Summit Podcast, which offers weekly mini-lessons from past World Summits (annual online health and wellness events from life-changing experts).
StarTalk Radio is a popular commercial radio show and podcast hosted by Neil Degrasse Tyson, renowned astrophysicist and Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
Episodes explore subjects such as “space travel, extra-terrestrial life, the Big Bang, the role science plays in people’s lives, the future of our Earth and the environment, and breaking news from the universe” with a little humor and a lot of passion.
If you’re interested in learning more about the planet we live on and the universe we’re part of, this is an easy and fun way to do it.
Note: The free version of this podcast includes commercials, but all-access subscribers can listen to the entire episodes commercial-free.
